Problem Summary In the Q/A Verification Program, an on-site visit may not be necessary
in every instance so an option to waive the on-site visit should exist
Problem Text Please consider adding a paragraph to the end of Section 3.4 of the QA
Policy Supplement as follows: ? The on-site assessment may be waived at
the discretion of the Assessor(s), subject to written agreement via
email by the Organization and to final approval by the Certification and
Verification Authority. If the Assessor determines that there are
outstanding observations or possible non-compliances that the Assessor
believes would best be resolved on-site, then the Assessor should
conduct an on-site visit as part of the assessment process. If the
Assessor believes that either 1) there are no outstanding observations
or non-compliances, or 2) there are outstanding observations or
non-compliances, but an on-site visit would provide no additional
evidence that could not otherwise be presented by the Organization
through additional uploaded documentation or interim discussion via
teleconference, then the Assessor may recommend to the Organization that
the on-site visit be waived. If the on-site visit is waived, the final
phase of the assessment process would still be carried out through
    off-site means.
